Local report on activities done within the TRD-2D project for CBM
FEE development for mCBM
- test to the second GBTx at GSI started
- test communication with SCA (slow control), testing various configurations. SCA debugging under investigation. in progress ...
TRD-2D wire winding and tension measurement devices
- First try of a cathode wire plane of ALICE type. Software might need recalibration (Cristi). The wire tension machine works. On 28.10 the first measurement on the already done electrode.
- Transmission problems which has to be addressed (RA). in progress
- measuring device for distance and wire tension (Cristi) done
- wires A & K for the new prototype (Mariana, Laura Cristi). No final result but qualitatively the material seems to be enough. done
- spacer calibration device (pieptene) for 1.5mm has to be produced. A first version of it can be discussed with RA and tested if it is enough for current needs. (Mariana). Contact possible producer on Romania, Factory and Optoelectronica SA (Duta). Organize the meeting and discuss technical issues (Mariana). Should upload technical drawing and technical details to indico (Mariana)
- Joerg will provide the 3mm device. Done. Deadline not defined yet (Mariana, Joerg).
- The design can be implemented on a PCB. Precision of 0.1 mm. (Claudiu)
Entrance window construction
- next deadline 2wk (MP and RA)
- the entrance window ledges for the Kapton prototype can be done by Gigi. Ready on 27.10
- Vali and Lucica can assemble the window. (MP, Laura). in progress ...
CERN-PS participation in ‘22
- deadline might be missed by the SPADIC 2.4.
- FEE should be solved by GSI
- The importance of PID for TRD-2D should be assessed together with the CBM/FAIR
- decision up to 15.11. has to be communicated to CERN
- MP should discuss @ CBM collaboration level to establish the urgency of having the TRD-2D PID picture
ECR : LV and HV
-To be further discussed during TRD weekly meeting on 27.10
- We should collaborate with the TRD colleagues from Muenster to define tasks to be solved by us for a COMMON system.
