Prof. Hans Georg Ritter (Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, USA), Strongly Interacting matter at RHIC

The consensus is that in Au+Au collisions at RHIC we have produced strongly interacting matter that has partons as constituents and that is opaque to high transverse momentum particles. The relevant experimental data will be presented from the perspective of the STAR experiment.
