Dr. Anton Andronic (GSI - Darmstadt, IFIN-HH), Statistical hadronization of heavy quarks in ultra-relativistic nucleus-nucleus collisions

Europe/Bucharest
Description
I will introduce the statistical hadronization model for heavy quarks in ultra-relativistic nucleus-nucleus collisions and present a comparison of its results with experimental data at SPS and RHIC energies. We focus on the centrality and rapidity dependence of Jpsi production yield and also discuss the transverse momentum distributions. Recent RHIC data from the PHENIX experiment are well reproduced by the model. Predictions will be shown for the LHC energy, for which experimental data from the ALICE experiment is expected within the next years.
