Local report on activities done within the TRD-2D project for CBM

Status of FEE development for mCBM

- test to the second GBTx at GSI started

- test communication with SCA (slow control), testing various configurations. WIP

Status of software development for mCBM

- data readout DONE

- simulation readiness DONE

- FW FLIM design meeting 13.10. The FLIM interface will be modified for 2022 mCBM data taking.

TRD-2D wire winding and tension measurement devices

- First try of a cathode wire plane of ALICE type. Software might need  recalibration

- Transmission problems which has to be addressed (RA)

- measuring device for distance and wire tension (Cristi) 1wk

- wires A & K for the new prototype (Mariana, Laura Cristi) 1wk

- spacer calibration device (pieptene) for 1.5mm has to be produced. A first version of it can be discussed with RA and tested if it is enough for current needs. (Laura) 1 week

- Joerg will provide the 3mm device (Mariana, Joerg) 1 week 

- The design can be implemented on a PCB. Precision of 0.1 mm. (Claudiu)

Entrance window construction

- next deadline 2wk (MP and RA)

- the entrance window ledges for the Kapton prototype can be done by Gigi. Vali and Lucica can assemble the window. (Laura) 1wk

TRD-2D Addendum

- PS participation date should be discussed during the TRD weekly meeting

- Draft for CBM rehearsal (21.10.2021 Alex)

Youngsters involvement in the group

- Next Monday finish tutorial introduction.
