Description

The study of nuclei far from stability, equation of state or rare decay have lead new concepts in the building instruments for nuclear physics.These include compact devices with wide angular cover which attempt to have a full inclusive cover and at the same time retaining classical dynamic ranges of the past. The "tool" deployed reach out to cryogenics, high magnetic and electric fields, mix of highly "voxelled" detection-target media with a strong dose of micro-electronics. A general view of these developments with examples will be given.
