By plane to Bucharest:
You can reach the Bucharest-Otopeni airport (OTP) (“Henri Coanda” International Airport) by one of the numerous flights that connect the Romanian capital with the major Europeans airports. OTP is close to Bucharest and on the highway to Sinaia at ~100 km.
By train to Bucharest:
You can reach the Bucharest North Railway station through the various European railway networks that connect the Romanian capital with the various European cities. From the railway station the easiest way to reach Sinaia is with a local train. Other options are also listed below.
From Bucharest to Sinaia:
- By organizer-provided car: service is provided upon request for a fee of 25 Euro/trip/person. Keep in mind that if we have more people requesting to be picked up in the same hour-range then you might have to wait a few hours for everyone scheduled to arrive.
- By local minibus: There are minibuses that travel regularly every day from the OTP airport to tourist towns like Sinaia. - By train: SINAIA is a major station on the main railway routes from West and Central Europe to Bucharest. You can find the train schedule and buy tickets online at https://bilete.cfrcalatori.ro/en-GB/Itineraries (Note that you don't need to print the online ticket as train officials can scan the QR code of your ticket from your phone)
- By rental car: car rental agencies can be found at the airport (more info at https://www.bucharestairports.ro/en/services/rent-a-car )
- By taxi/Uber/Bolt: taxis are easily available outside both the airport and the North Railway train station. Uber or Bolt can be ordered through the app. However the trip can get expensive (on order of 500 RON or 100 EUR)
